Accident

Here are some pictures from Larry's truck accident on December 30, 2007. LUCKILY he was wearing his seatbelt and he only walked away with a few scratches and some soreness. Sam, his dog, was with him and after the crash ran off, we think because he was just scared. We are so so SO glad that Larry is alright, we don't know what we would have done if something happened to him. How the accident happened is he was driving along, and hit black ice and slid off the road, hitting an embankment and crashing the left side of the truck into it, with the truck falling back on the right hand side. He got away with a "speed too fast for conditions" ticket, because of the weather and the conditions of it at the time. Anyway, that's all nothing compared to his life still being here and him still being in all our lives. Steve, Heather and kids: I am sure we all feel how lucky we are and we all know how lucky Larry is for wearing his seatbelt and being a responsible driver. We all love him dearly and are all very relieved for his life still being with us all. They said if he hadn't been wearing his seatbelt he probably wouldn't have made it. . . hard to even think about! SO EVERYONE, WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!

Pumpkin Pickin' Pictures!

Saturday afternoon we went with my Mom, her boyfriend and his son and niece to go Pumpkin Picking! :) Nichole had a blast, being able to walk around and look at Pumpkins and pick her own. She especially liked sitting on them! I myself had never been to a pumkin patch before, so it was exciting for me, too! We had to drive to White Bird to the Killgore Farm to get them, and the fall colors in the mountains are beautiful right now! When we got there, Mr. Killgore had already set out some pumpkins and had them for sale, but we asked if it was alright if we went out and picked our own. He was so kind to let us go out and get whatever we wanted! He even gave the kids their pumpkins for free! We all had a good time, and thank heaven the weather was tolerable while we were there! It didn't rain or anything, except for maybe a couple sprinkles. :) I love the fall time, and I am glad we got the chance to take Nichole out and have this experience. I think this will be a yearly tradition as long as Mr. Killgore is around! :)

At the River

Last weekend we went to the river for the first time this year. We took Nichole along, but thought that she wouldn't enjoy the water at all, but once we got there and put her in her big blow up turtle, she was all for it! She didn't want to leave! She played in the sand and, as you will see in the bottom left picture, she tried to eat it, too.

What's important is that she had fun, and now we know we can invest in a life jacket an a swimsuit for her next year! :)

This is Jason's new Jeep - yes, he's spoiled. *LOL* We decided to get him something he could haul Nichole around in and something that was a little bigger and that we could take up in the mountains, and it was about time for HIM to get a new car, since I have been getting one once a year! Don't worry, I am keeping my Jetta for a LONG while! :)

This is a "collage" I made of Nichole on Microsoft Powerpoint. I love doing things like that, and I was excited to learn that I could save my project as a JPEG and post it EVERYWHERE! These are some pictures of Nichole's allergic reaction to Amoxicillin. She started the Amoxicillin on the 13th of February, right after her 1 year checkup and shots. I guess she had a sinus infection. Anyway, so a couple days after she started taking it my mom noticed a little rash on Nichole's neck, but we just thought it was from her shirt collar. Then, yesterday (wednesday) Jason and I noticed a HUGE rash of little pink dots all over her body. It wasn't TOO bad, but it still concerned us. I decided to take her into to doctor this morning after noticing it was WAY worse! And that was the verdict, the Amoxicillin! So now we just have to be careful of what -cillin drugs we give her. :) GOOD TO KNOW!

Nichole FINALLY started crawling just this past week! We are so excited! We have been trying to teach her and show her how to crawl and she just hasn't wanted to until now. We realize now that we have to start child-proofing the house so she can't get into cupboards and such. :) What a great start to the New Year! I tried to upload a video, but it isn't working properly at the moment so I will try again later!

Well, this is our new car. We got it about a month and a half ago, we just haven't had much time to post any pictures of it! It is a 2004 VW Jetta and we LOVE IT! It is so nice. :) We need to get some rims for it, though.

We have been doing a lot since our last post. We went on vacation to Utah to visit my family. My dad was so excited to see her, and so was the rest of my family! We went to a theme park there called Lagoon - it was a nice day because Dad watched Nichole so Jason and I got to have a day to ourselves! THANKS DAD! We took my little brother Kyle and his friend Oscar with us. It was nice to spend some time with my little bro'. :)

These are Nichole's first professional pictures that she had taken. We just got them back yesterday and we are really happy with how they turned out. The one on the top of her on her stomach is even going to be entered into a phot competition by the woman who took her picture at Wal*Mart. If Nichole's picture wins, we get a 100.00 photo package for free. We are hoping for the best! :)

Our new house is awesome, it's so much better than living in an apartment throwing away money for rent every month. We have so many plans and ideas to make this our home, not just another house. We can't wait to get started painting and such!

She Finally Found It!

Well Nichole finally found her thumb! Before now, she hasn't been able to stick her thumb out enough to get it in her mouth, and also she hasn't been able to hold her hand in one place long enough. I heard her sucking on something today while I was on the computer and I looked over and she was sucking her thumb! I had to get a picture of it since it was her first time being able to on her own!

She is getting so big, I can't believe how fast she is growing! She is already almost 12 pounds and 22.5 inches long! Her eyes are still blue, but doctors say that eyes can change color up until around 9 months, and even after that. I sure wouldn't mind if they stayed the color they are now, they are gorgeous!

Easter weekend was no good here, it snowed the whole time! And now it's beautiful outside! I don't get it...it's alright I guess, Jason and Nichole and I had a great Easter anyways. :)

Well I guess that's about it for now, so I will post more later!

Life Is So Hard!

I just had to post these pictures of Nichole! She is so funny, she's starting to stick out her lower lip when she's upset or getting ready to cry, so it's hillarious to watch! I am so glad I caught it on camera, although I am sure there are going to be MANY more chances! :)

Things here have been going well, we are finally used to having a baby around, we don't feel like we are living with an alien anymore, she's one of the family now. :) Anyways, not too much else going on. I start my job at the bank on March 20 and I am looking forward to going back to work, even though I know it will be hard to leave Nichole, I will make it through okay.

Our first week home with Nichole has been a learning experience, that's for sure! It has been kind of tiring, but mostly it's been fun! We've been taking pictures of her left and right (the picture above is Nichole at 9 days old), and taking her around to see everyone. Jason just had to go back to work today, and I already wish that he was home! I miss him so much, I kind of got used to having him here with me all day...at least I wasn't so bored then, and I like having him around.

I can tell that it will take a little getting used to having a baby to take care of all day - it's a little bit stressful. I guess that I am doing okay, I am just kind of sad sometimes - just trying to get everything in order and wanting my old body back and worrying if I am doing a good job of being a mom when Jason isn't here to help me. I guess those are normal concerns, and it's normal to feel kind of down the first week or two. :) Everything will get better once I get used to it, I am sure of that. I guess that's it for now!

Her first picture smiling! :) I caught her "smiling" (most people will tell you it's just gas at this age) and I just had to get a picture of it! This is after she got her first at-home bath from Jason and I. She didn't like it too much, she kept sliding out of her baby bath so Jason had to hold her down while I washed her. Then we wrapped her up in a towel and she liked that a lot; she was happy as a clam. LOL BUT THEN we had to be mean and get her dressed, which she fussed over tremendously. But when it was all said and done, she was clean, she smelled good and she wasn't cold anymore!

We got home from the hopsital today around 2:00 pm. Nichole has pretty much been sleeping since, and I am writing this at 8:00 pm! I guess it's good that she feels comfortable here - we personally think that babies can sense their parents' stress and moods, and Jason and I were so stressed out at the hosptial, and now here at home we are more at ease. Everything is just so much more familiar and it just feels good to be able to be in our home with our new daughter!

Well, my labor went pretty well, considering what all we had to go through! They didn't have to induce me, I started having regualr contractions Wednesday morning around 4:30, so we went to the hospital and they admitted me. By the time I was a 10, my pain meds had worn off and I couldn't get anymore, so I pushed for two hours without pain medication and I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND that method to ANYONE! I guess if you are brave enough to go through that without pain meds, then more power to you! But anyways, after the two hours had gone by and she still wasn't coming any further down, they decided to do a cesarian section. Jason and I weren't too happy with the thought, but we figured as long as they got her out and she and I were okay, it didn't matter how she entered the world. So they wheeled me into surgery and about and hour later Nichole Jean White was born! I was kind of in and out of consiousness, but I remember bits and pieces of things. It was a neat experience non-the-less, and worth every bit of the pain!

Nichole was 7 pounds 10 ounces and 20.5 inches long when she was born, and she has the most GORGEOUS dark blue eyes! We hope they don't change too much, but if they do, we are pretty sure they will be some shade of blue. :)

WELL, that was our week. Now we are just settling in and getting used to the idea of being parents. We are thrilled and we can't wait to see what the future has in store for our little girl! :)

Nichole still hasn't decided to come out... LOL I went in to the doctor today and they did a non-stress test to make sure everything was going well since she didn't come by her due date. The doctor said everything looks good and it's not un-common to be late on your first pregnancy, especially. She also said that I am a full 2 cm dilated now, for the past 2 weeks I've only been between 1 cm - 1.5 cm, so that was good to hear. I have also been having a LOT more contractions and cramps, so hopefully that's a GOOD sign! :)

Today was my 20th birthday. I have to say that it was a pretty good day overall, I went to the doctor for an appointment and found out that I am almost 2 cm dilated, which is good news considering! :) I really think it was going out with Erik and Jason in the Blazer that did it! Also, I got my hair cut SHORT after having it pretty long for almost a year now, and I like it so much better! :) I can actually style it cute rather than just having it hang flat on my head! Then tonight when Jason came home from work he brought me my favorite flowers - Gerber Daisies! He also got me a picture frame to put next to the bed on my nightstand, to put a picture of me and him in it, and also a really sweet card. :) I love him so much, I am so spoiled! We then went to dinner at the nice restaurant in town, Ernie's Steakhouse. It was really nice to spend that time with Jason, because I feel like after the baby is born we will both be a little pre-occupied... but anyways, after dinner we went to my grandma's house for cake and presents, and my mom got me a really nice card (she got us so much for the baby and Christmas, there was no need for a birthday present!) and my grandparents' got me an electric skillet, which I am so excited to use! We got an electic griddle for Christmas and we don't know how we lived without it! Our next appliance on the list is a crock-pot...maybe grandma and grandpa will get one for Jason for his birthday. :)

We are just waiting around for the baby to be born, but I am sure after she is here we will wish that we had a little more time before she came! :) Oh well, we'll be more than ready, I think!

This is a picture of my best friends Eric's Chevy Blazer. He just just got new tires put on, they are toyo open country 38x15x50, they are freakin huge. He had to cut out his finders the the tires to be able to fit and to turn. Well tonight I called eric to hang out. So Crystal and I went for a joy ride around the town. This Was I good Idea since the doc. told Crystal to get out and go on some bumpy roads, for this will help her go into labor. We went to a party out at at a local rock pit to talk to some friends, when we were leaving eric started to go over a rocky incline. The first time he started over the climb but slipped out of gear, by this time crystal was pretty scared but did not say anything but I could tell. So Eric tried it a Second time and hit the inclinewe got a little air born and still did not make it , by this time crystal was pretty scared and did not want to do it again , but we was not planning on doing it again cause we heard something wrong with the blazer. eric ended up braking his exhaust pipe, and binding his fan shroud which ened up puttind a hole in his radiator, but tured out to a pretty good night over all. Crystal said she likes doing thoses things but she likes to watch them more than being in them.

It's crazy! I can't believe my due date is in a little over a week, but I am so excited and ready to have her out! :)

Anyways, I don't think she's dropped yet, but I think after tonight (Jason will tell you more in the next post) she'll be dropped down and ready to go! :)

It's been a little while since our last post...not a lot has happened, but here's what has.

On Monday, January 2, I was at work and I started getting some really bad contractions. Now I know I've never really felt them before, because when it's a contraction, you know! So anyways, after i got off work at 6:00, Jason and I went to the hospital for a non-stress test. My doctor wasn't there, but her husband, who is also a doctor, was and he told me that by the way the stress test looked, he didn't want me exerting myself, so he called my doctor at home and asked her what to do. She said to put me on pelvic rest, which is just what it sounds like, pelvic rest! At least I don't have to stay in bed all day, because it would drive me absoloutly crazy! At least I can still clean the house and do dishes , etc. I am making Jason do the laundry, though, since I have to carry it all up and down two flights of stairs! ;) I can't work anymore, however, because I stand all day and I guess that puts pressure on the pelvis. So now I get to be lazy and watch movies all day! :) I watched Father of the Bride today. Tomorrow I am thinking about Titanic... hehehe

Also, this past week I have been really into cleaning, which hopefully means that I am close to the big day! Nothing can be clean or organized enough... I have folded and washed and re-folded and organized and washed and folded and re-organized Nichole's clothes, blankets, washcloths, etc. I cleaned out the refrigerator, too, the other day. I was tempted to again today, but I thought that would just be a little too much. I had her diaper bag packed months ago, but just recently took everything out and put everything back in, ?????? It's in the car and ready to go, along with the carseat, which has been there for a week or two already. It's crazy, because you hear about nesting, and you don't think it is really that bad, but it is! :) Oh, well! It keeps me busy.

We're just anxiously awaiting the day when I get to call him up, or wake him up, and say, "It's time, let's go to the hospital!" :) I have to admit, I am a little scared about having a little baby that depends only on the two of us. It's a little nerve-racking, but I think we'll do okay.... I hope we'll do okay. We are also looking forward to when Jason's brother Steve and his fiance Heather come to Idaho in February. It'll be nice to see them again! :)

Ok, well I've taken up enough room on this page for now. We'll keep you all posted!

Walkin in a Winter Wonderland!!!

This is what we woke up to this morning, and it's only getting worse! We went out for a drive to Our local ski resort but did not get that far so we turned around. A little before we turned around the low tire pressure light came on and I (crystal) started to get a little nervous about going into the mountains when it's snowing, and I'm 8 months pregnant and the low tire pressure light is on! :) But, Jason was nice and didn't go too far up the snow covered road! I told him to go when he has a 4 wheel drive truck and no pregnant lady with him! hehehehe

HO HO HO NO the snow is here. On the news to day they said that the schools were cloded do to the hazardest road conditions. Dress warm it is supose to be a big winter this year.

This is a picture of crystal. Just went to the doctors the other day and she told us we only have about 6 weeks to go. Wow it just seems like the other day she had gotten pregnant. Crystal would kill me if she knew I put this picture on here but she will find out, oh well She is cute no matter what she says.
